Thang Long Warriors Bring Basketball Joy to Children in the Highlands

The Thang Long Warriors basketball club recently concluded a meaningful two-day charity trip to the mountainous region of Tang Loong, Lao Cai. Kicking off their 2024 social responsibility initiative, the team aimed to support underprivileged children and foster a love for basketball in remote areas. Accompanied by the DanLe Foundation, the club’s delegation included promising young players like Dau Trung Kien and Pham Nhat Thai Quang.

The team visited the Trat 1 and Trat 2 primary schools, providing essential supplies, warm clothing, and school materials to 48 students. In a bid to promote sports, they also installed two portable basketball hoops and donated 12 basketballs, ensuring the children have the tools to play. Players spent time teaching basketball skills and organizing games, creating memorable experiences for the local community. The local Ghost Club has committed to providing ongoing mentorship to the children, ensuring the legacy of the donation continues. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Thang Long Warriors to use the sport as a vehicle for community development and positive change.
