1. BITCOIN RECLAIMS $79,000
Bitcoin rose 2.16–2.83% in the past 24 hours. Aggregated data from multiple exchanges and CoinMarketCap places BTC around $79,000, with reported prices ranging from $78,489 to $79,037 depending on the source. Bitget recorded $79,011.95 and Gate recorded $79,003.3, while Cointelegraph noted BTC/USD moved toward $80,000 and gained roughly 3% during the session. Importantly, Bitcoin erased its weekend losses and moved back above its 50-week EMA near $77,430 after closing below that level on Sunday. Reclaiming this long-term technical level is often viewed as an improvement in trend.

2. ETHEREUM AND SOLANA RECOVER TOGETHER
ETH rose 1.45–2.23%, while SOL gained 2.29%. Ethereum traded between $2,542 and $2,550, with Gate reporting $2,549.93 and TokenPost/CoinMarketCap reporting $2,542. Solana's percentage gain was solid, though the source did not provide a closing price. This matters because money is gradually rotating from Bitcoin into large-cap altcoins, suggesting market sentiment is no longer overly defensive.

3. XRP AND ZCASH LEAD THE ALTCOIN BOUNCE
XRP climbed 7.74% and Zcash surged 10.06%. These two assets posted the strongest moves in the tracked basket, outpacing BTC and ETH by a wide margin. Hyperliquid also added 4.12%, confirming that speculative demand is reaching individual tokens. The outperformance of Zcash and XRP indicates investors are more willing to take on risk as the broader market recovers.

4. OIL COOLS, FED RATE-HIKE ODDS RISE
Oil prices fell, while Fed hike odds hit 92.7%. President Donald Trump's comments about a possible end to the US-Iran war pressured oil lower; WTI still held above $100 per barrel and Brent traded around $105 per barrel. At the same time, the CME FedWatch Tool showed a 92.7% probability of a 25-basis-point Federal Reserve rate hike, up sharply from 59.4% a week earlier. This could create a crosscurrent for risk assets if the hike is confirmed.

5. LIQUIDATIONS TILT TOWARD SHORT SELLERS
Total liquidations hit $176 million, with shorts hurt more. Over the past 24 hours, leveraged liquidations across the top 20 coins reached $176 million, including $108.41 million in shorts and $67.898 million in longs. Bitcoin led liquidations with $70.52 million, of which 77% were shorts, consistent with the rally squeezing bearish positions. Short-heavy liquidations often reinforce a short-term bounce but can also add volatility if price reverses.

Today’s key watch: The next Federal Reserve policy meeting – markets are pricing a 92.7% chance of a 25-basis-point hike.
