001. BTC STEADIES AROUND $86,000 AFTER HITTING $87,350.
According to CoinMarketCap at 08:10 KST, BTC traded at $86,404, down 0.20% over 24 hours; some sources reported $86,183, down 0.34%, while TradingView showed $86,198.60, up 0.08%. The moves point to consolidation after sharp gains, as BTC touched $87,350 on Sep 22, its highest since Jan 29.
2. ETH AND SOL EDGE UP, ADA AND HYPE STAND OUT.
ETH traded around $2,752.78, up 0.53% on Cointelegraph, although an early morning report showed a 0.82% decline, reflecting mixed data. SOL added 0.09% to $118.41, while ADA rose 4.06% to $0.2547 and HYPE gained 3.77% to $97.28. Selective demand remains in altcoins: VIRTUAL jumped 27.16% to a weekly high on Binance, while PHA fell 17.42%.
3. BITCOIN ETFS DRAW NEARLY $1 BILLION AS ON-CHAIN SIGNALS IMPROVE.
US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded about $999.9 million in net inflows on Sep 21 local time, the largest since Oct 6 last year. Bitcoin's MVRV reached 1.62, moving back above its 365-day average; Glassnode noted a similar cross appeared in 2019 and 2023 at the start of bull markets, and CryptoQuant said holding above 1.62 could support a $126,200 target.
4. GREED READING HITS 78 AS MARKET CAP TOPS $3 TRILLION.
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index stood at 78, in Greed/Extreme Greed territory, while total crypto market cap was around above $3 trillion. Bitcoin's market cap was roughly $1.734 trillion, surpassing Saudi Aramco, Tesla, Samsung Electronics and Micron.
5. OIL FALLS AND OPTIONS LEAN BULLISH.
WTI crude slipped to $89.16, the lowest since Sep 4, after President Trump signaled a possible US-Iran deal after the November midterm elections. On Deribit, BTC options open interest was skewed bullish with about 320,000 calls versus 171,000 puts, suggesting traders still expect upside.
KEY WATCH FOR TODAY: Whether Bitcoin can hold the $86,000 support area after touching $87,350 on Sep 22, and whether ETF inflows continue after the Sep 21 session.
