Da Nang city has once again outdone itself with the 2024 Tet Flower Street, a vibrant celebration of the Year of the Dragon. Located along the scenic Bach Dang Street and the banks of the Han River, the display has attracted thousands of locals and tourists eager to capture the perfect New Year photo. The highlight of this year's decorations is the series of intricately designed dragon mascots, which blend traditional mythology with modern artistic flair. One of the most talked-about pieces is a 5-meter-tall ceramic dragon inspired by the Ly Dynasty, created by artisans from the famous Bat Trang pottery village. This masterpiece took four months to complete and serves as a bridge between the historical heritage of northern Vietnam and the modern coastal vibe of Da Nang.

The city invested nearly 20 billion VND into 15 different decoration clusters, ensuring that every corner of the waterfront offers a unique visual experience. From the 'Dragon Roaming in Spring' theme on the East bank to the 'Lac Long Quan and Au Co' legend depicted on the West bank, the storytelling is as impressive as the floral arrangements. Despite the bright sun, families and young people dressed in traditional Ao Dai can be seen flocking to areas like the Half Moon Bridge to enjoy the festive atmosphere. The flower street also provides a boost to the local economy, with some residents dressing up as the God of Wealth to pose for photos with visitors. For international tourists, the display offers a deep dive into Vietnamese folklore and the significance of the dragon as a symbol of power and prosperity. The flower street will remain open until February 19th, providing ample time for everyone to experience the magic of Tet in one of Vietnam's most beautiful cities. It is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling through Central Vietnam during the Lunar New Year season.
