Hanoi Artists Gather for the Traditional Theater Ancestor Worship Ceremony

Every year, during the eighth lunar month, Vietnamese artists across the country gather to celebrate one of the most sacred and important events in the performing arts calendar: 'Giỗ Tổ Nghề Sân Khấu' (the Theater Ancestor Worship Ceremony). In Hanoi, the cultural heart of Vietnam, this traditional ceremony is observed with deep reverence, bringing together veteran actors, young performers, directors, and stagehands to pay tribute to the founders and patron saints of their craft.
