Spectacular Fireworks Display Welcomes the Year of the Dragon 2024 in Hanoi and Da Nang

The transition to the Lunar New Year, specifically the Year of the Wood Dragon (Giap Thin 2024), was marked by a breathtaking series of fireworks displays across Vietnam's major cities. In the capital city of Hanoi, the sky was set ablaze at exactly midnight on February 10, 2024. The city organized a massive celebration featuring 32 different fireworks sites spread across 30 districts, including 9 high-altitude and 23 low-altitude locations. This widespread celebration ensured that citizens from all corners of the city could witness the magnificent light show, which lasted for approximately 15 minutes. The Capital High Command was responsible for the technical execution, deploying over 60 to 80 officers and soldiers at each site to ensure absolute safety and precision. The sheer scale of the event created a vibrant atmosphere, with crowds cheering as the night sky transformed into a canvas of gold, red, and emerald sparks.

Further south, the coastal city of Da Nang offered its own unique spectacle. Known for its annual international fireworks festivals, Da Nang chose three primary locations for the 2024 Lunar New Year Eve: Bach Dang Street, the Lien Chieu District Administrative Center, and the Hoa Vang District Administrative Center. The city utilized a sophisticated FireOne system and L100S semi-automatic technology to launch 2,000 high-altitude shells and 120 low-altitude sets. Despite the chilly weather, thousands gathered to watch the 15-minute performance. A highlight of the Da Nang celebration was the 'Dragon Mascot' at the flower street, which featured impressive fire and smoke-breathing effects, captivating both locals and tourists alike. These celebrations not only marked the beginning of a new lunar cycle but also showcased the technical prowess and cultural vibrancy of Vietnam as it enters the Year of the Dragon.
