Ba Ria - Vung Tau 2050: A Vision of Vietnam's Leading Maritime Economic Hub

The Prime Minister has officially approved the development plan for Ba Ria - Vung Tau province for the 2021-2030 period, with a grand vision extending to 2050. This ambitious roadmap aims to transform the province into a premier maritime economic center for the entire country and a key logistics hub for Southeast Asia. Covering over 1,982 square kilometers, the plan encompasses major urban areas like Vung Tau city, Ba Ria city, and the industrial powerhouse of Phu My. By 2050, the province aspires to be a world-class destination for high-quality tourism, leveraging its stunning coastline and unique islands like Con Dao. Infrastructure projects like the 4,900 billion VND Phuoc An Bridge and the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway are already in the works to ensure seamless connectivity.
