As the Lunar New Year (Tet) approaches, the Ao Dai Museum (Bao tang Ao dai) on Long Thuan Street in Ho Chi Minh City has experienced a massive influx of visitors. According to the museum's director, Huynh Ngoc Van, the venue has been welcoming nearly 1,000 visitors daily since early January, with weekend crowds doubling. To accommodate the early rush of people wanting to capture beautiful spring photographs, the museum has had to hire extra staff to ensure a smooth experience for everyone.

On the morning of January 21, the entire 20,000-square-meter museum grounds were bustling with energy. From the entrance gate, visitors—mostly young people—queued patiently to purchase tickets, which are priced at 100,000 VND for adults and 50,000 VND for students. The majority of attendees dressed in elegant traditional Vietnamese attire, particularly the classic Ao Dai and the regal Nhat Binh ancient court dress. The museum's serene, rustic setting, featuring traditional wooden houses, lotus ponds, small coconut bridges, and green gardens, provided the perfect nostalgic backdrop for their festive photo shoots.

To make the experience convenient for tourists, the museum offers affordable rental services for various traditional costumes, conical hats (non la), hand fans, and fresh flowers, starting at around 100,000 VND. First-time visitors expressed their delight at the peaceful and photogenic environment, noting that despite the crowds, the vast open-air space remained pleasant. Established in 2014, the Ao Dai Museum showcases over 150 unique designs of the Vietnamese national dress across different historical eras, making it both an educational cultural center and a favorite spot for holiday photography.
