00A unique biological phenomenon is drawing massive crowds to the Cam Luong Fish Stream area in Thanh Hoa province. A six-legged cow, which also boasts two tails, has become the star attraction for tourists visiting the Luong Ngoc village. This unusual animal is not just a local curiosity but a source of fascination for visitors from all over the country. Besides the standard four legs, this cow has two additional legs growing from its left shoulder, with a small tail-like growth protruding between them. Despite its physical deformities, the cow is reported to be in excellent health and has lived for six years.
The owner of the cow originally brought it from the Ba Thuoc district to the Cam Luong tourist site several years ago. Recognizing the public's interest, the owner rented a space within the local residential area to display the animal. Many people have offered to buy the cow for a high price, but the owner has consistently refused, choosing instead to care for it and share its story with the public. To manage the influx of visitors, a small entrance fee of 7,000 VND is collected, which the owner explains is used entirely to cover the costs of high-quality feed, such as grass and corn bran, and the general upkeep of the animal.
Visitors are often seen taking photos and expressing amazement at the cow's calm demeanor. The owner takes great care of the animal, ensuring it is bathed every two days and kept in a clean, shaded environment. While such mutations are rare, they often become symbols of local legend or simple curiosity. For the people of Cẩm Thủy, the six-legged cow is more than just a deformity; it is a 'strange phenomenon' that has brought a unique spark to their local tourism. If you find yourself in Thanh Hoa, a stop to see this rare creature and the beautiful surrounding fish stream is definitely worth the trip.
