One of the most mind-boggling facts about these insects is their ability to survive for up to a week even after being decapitated. This incredible survival mechanism has allowed cockroaches to exist for millions of years, outlasting many other species. It serves as a fascinating example of how evolution can produce radically different solutions for survival compared to mammalian biology. While it may sound like something out of a horror movie, the headless cockroach is a marvel of natural engineering, showcasing a level of durability that few other animals on Earth can match.
