Star-Studded Red Carpet for the Premiere of Tran Thanh's 18+ Film 'Mai'

The highly anticipated premiere of Trấn Thành’s third directorial feature, "Mai," took place amid massive excitement, drawing an array of top-tier Vietnamese celebrities, beauty queens, and artists to the red carpet. Marked as Trấn Thành's first film to receive an 18+ rating due to its intense emotional depth and mature themes, "Mai" is poised to be a major box office hit for the Lunar New Year season.

Among the glittering guests was Miss Vietnam 2018 Trần Tiểu Vy, who plays a supporting role in the film. Tiểu Vy has been actively expanding her career into acting, previously starring in the horror film "Đảo độc đắc" and the web-drama "Chủ tịch giao hàng." Other prominent beauty queens in attendance included Miss World Vietnam 2019 Lương Thùy Linh and Miss Grand International Nguyễn Thúc Thùy Tiên, both of whom expressed their excitement to support high-quality domestic cinema.

The film's lead actors, Phương Anh Đào and Tuấn Trần, turned heads with their elegant chemistry on the red carpet. Trấn Thành revealed that it took him three years to find the perfect actress to portray Mai—a woman in her late 30s carrying a wounded past. He praised Phương Anh Đào's profound acting range and mature beauty, which perfectly matched the character's complex emotional arc.

Also showing strong support were Trấn Thành’s wife, singer Hari Won, close friend Đông Nhi, and singer-songwriter Phan Mạnh Quỳnh, who contributed a song to the film's official soundtrack. Acclaimed director Victor Vũ and producer Đinh Ngọc Diệp, alongside rapper Karik and actor Song Luân, also attended, praising Trấn Thành's dedication to elevated storytelling and cinematic realism.
