00The 'Tai Sac Nhan Van 2023' (USSH Gralent 2023) competition has officially reached its most meaningful phase as the top 16 finalists took part in a volunteer trip to the Vietnam Friendship Village. This activity, titled 'Spring of Love,' was designed to bring warmth and joy to veterans and children affected by Agent Orange ahead of the Lunar New Year. For many of the students, this was their first time engaging in such a significant community service project, providing them with a profound opportunity for personal growth and social responsibility.
During the visit, the contestants spent time listening to the stories of war veterans, gaining a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices made by previous generations. Finalist Hai Dang shared that the experience made him realize the value of the peace we enjoy today. The students didn't just visit; they actively participated in 'Handmade Tet' workshops, helping the children create New Year cards, paper flowers, and festive decorations. These interactions bridged the gap between generations and brought smiles to the faces of those living at the center.
The highlight of the day was a vibrant cultural exchange gala. The top 16 performed traditional Tet songs, creating a lively yet cozy atmosphere. The children from the village also showcased their own talents through dance and song, making for a truly collaborative and touching event. As the 'Tai Sac Nhan Van 2023' journey continues, this mission of kindness remains a core part of the competition's identity. By spreading love and human values, these talented and beautiful students are proving that they are not just representatives of their university, but compassionate leaders for the future. The 'Spring of Love' trip may have ended, but the lessons of empathy and sharing will stay with the participants forever.
