Bitcoin Holds $83,500 Range on September 30, 2026

1. BITCOIN TRADES IN NARROW RANGE AROUND $83,500
Bitcoin traded around $83,560–$83,587, up 0.21% in 24 hours according to CoinMarketCap and TokenPost. Support at $82,500 held, with price moving in a narrow $83,400–$84,300 range. Total crypto market cap reached $2.8596 trillion, and 24-hour trading volume was $91.02 billion. Bitcoin dominance stood at 58.71%, up 0.07 percentage point; the kimchi premium on Upbit was 0.30% and the USDT premium 0.26%.

2. ETHEREUM DATA DIVERGES BETWEEN SOURCES
TokenPost and CoinGlass show ETH up 0.57% at $2,689–$2,690, while Edaily citing CoinMarketCap shows -0.13%. This gap is worth noting for investors comparing multiple data sources.

3. ALTCOINS MIXED, HYPERLIQUID LEADS DECLINES
Solana rose 0.33–0.59% depending on the source, XRP gained 0.09–0.30% and Dogecoin added 0.32%. On the downside, Hyperliquid fell 0.83–2.83%, Zcash lost 4.15%, BNB dropped 1.03% and Tron declined 0.33%. This shows that money flow has not spread across the whole altcoin group.

Ethereum led liquidations with $61.68 million, followed by Bitcoin at $47.97 million. 24-hour derivatives volume reached $985.94 billion, down 9.98%. On Upbit, the Market Index fell 0.12% to 11,606.06; total KRW market cap fell 0.17% to KRW 3,604.57 trillion; 24-hour volume dropped 28.58% to KRW 1.82 trillion.

5. RISING US TREASURY YIELDS KEEP MARKET CAUTIOUS
The 30-year Treasury yield rose to 5.612%, the highest since June 2002, while the 10-year yield traded at 5.265%. US equities closed slightly lower: S&P 500 -0.17%, Nasdaq -0.09%, Dow -0.26%. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index slipped from 70 to 68, still in Greed. Glassnode noted Bitcoin was about 35% above its August low while open interest fell about 20% to its lowest since March.
