1. MARKET SLIGHTLY DOWN, BTC OUTPERFORMS ALTCOINS. Total crypto market cap reached $2,864.5 billion, with 24-hour trading volume at $117.61 billion. Bitcoin dominance rose 0.19 percentage point to 59.13%, while Ethereum dominance fell 0.05 percentage point to 11.37%. This suggests capital is rotating into Bitcoin rather than altcoins, with no single news shock reported; pressure mostly comes from short-term profit-taking.
2. BTC HOVERS NEAR $84,000. TokenPost Market data at 04:59 KST showed Bitcoin trading at $84,292.44, down 0.41% over 24 hours. Other sources showed a range: Gate reported $84,997.3 (+0.64%), CoinGlass reported $84,201 (-0.54%), and Binance spot reported $84,172. The differences mainly reflect different data cut-off times, highlighting indecision as price has yet to establish a clear trend.
3. ETH FALLS MORE THAN BTC. Ethereum traded at $2,667.69, down 1.14% over 24 hours according to TokenPost; CoinGlass recorded $2,665, down 1.34%. In the Korean won market, ETH fell 1.4% to 3.64 million KRW. The decline in Ethereum dominance suggests ETH is facing heavier selling pressure than Bitcoin, adding caution to smart-contract platforms.
4. DOGE AND XRP AMONG NOTABLE DECLINERS. Dogecoin fell 3.42%, XRP fell 1.92%, and ZEC fell 3.13% according to CoinGlass data. On Korean exchanges, only 19 of 62 coins with turnover above 5 billion KRW advanced, equal to 31%. Weak market breadth shows the recovery has not spread; investors still favor large-cap and defensive assets.
5. DERIVATIVES VOLUME SURGES, LIQUIDATIONS BOTH SIDES. 24-hour derivatives volume reached $957.38 billion, up 21.56%; 24-hour liquidations per CoinGlass hit $445.33 million, including $234.24 million in longs and $211.09 million in shorts. Another source reported $575 million in derivative liquidations, with long/short nearly balanced at 49.8%/50.2%. This shows both sides were squeezed as price traded in a narrow range, increasing the risk of sharp moves if fresh news emerges.
6. FEAR & GREED REMAINS IN GREED TERRITORY. The Fear & Greed Index stood at 72, down from 74; kimchi premium was +1.5%; Deribit BTC options put/call ratio was 0.92. The slight decline suggests positive sentiment persists but is less exuberant; a PCR below 1 shows the options market still leans toward calls, though the margin has narrowed.
What to watch today: Whether BTC can hold the $84,000–$85,000 zone after derivatives volume rose sharply and two-way liquidation data was nearly balanced.
