The Legend of Stingy Jack: A Classic Halloween Fairy Tale

When Jack eventually dies, his sinful life prevents him from entering Heaven, and because of his promise, the Devil cannot let him into Hell. Condemned to wander the dark earth forever, Jack is given a single burning coal by the Devil, which he places inside a hollowed-out turnip to light his way.
