001. BITCOIN RECOVERS TO $83,000 AHEAD OF US CPI.
Bitcoin traded around $83,544, up 1.23% over 24 hours as of 07:45 KST, according to CoinMarketCap, after dipping near $81,000 earlier. Coin360 reported $83,384 (+1.56%), while Gate showed $82,991.8 (+0.57%), with discrepancies stemming from different data capture times; the 24-hour change can reasonably be read as a 0.5–1.6% gain. BTC dominance stood at 59.64% on Coin360, and the Crypto Fear & Greed Index sat at 55 (Neutral). The rebound came as traders awaited the U.S. September CPI print due at 21:30 KST, a key input for the next rate expectations.
2. ETH AND MOST ALTCOINS RISE MODESTLY, SOL LAGS.
Ethereum traded around $2,508 (+1.11%) on CoinMarketCap, while Coin360 showed $2,505 (+1.67%). Solana was nearly flat at $106.78 (+0.05%) or $107 (+0.45%), depending on the source. Other large caps recovered in a scattered fashion: XRP moved between $1.36 and $1.37, up about 1.29–1.57%; DOGE added 1.69%; and ZEC rose 1.71%. Solana’s underperformance suggests buying interest has not yet returned strongly to the Solana ecosystem, while ETH and highly liquid large caps attracted better demand ahead of the CPI release.
3. KOREAN EXCHANGES DIVERGE, VOLUME FALLS.
On Upbit at 08:00–08:33 KST, BTC was quoted at 112.57 million KRW (+1.54%), ETH at 3.381 million KRW (+1.99%), XRP at 1,848 KRW (+1.71%), and SOL at 144,600 KRW (+0.91%). Bithumb, however, showed BTC at 112.72 million KRW (-0.20%), with ETH -0.50%, SOL -0.76%, and XRP -0.48%. Upbit’s 24-hour trading volume declined 14.27% to 1.42 trillion KRW, while aggregate market capitalization rose 0.64% to 3,519.72 trillion KRW. The divergence between local exchanges and falling volume suggest the rebound is not yet backed by strong inflows, as many traders remain on the sidelines before the macro data.
4. ZEC GAINS, OKB BUCKLES AGAINST THE TREND.
According to Coin360, ZEC traded at $1,219, up 1.71% over 24 hours, while OKB sat at $123, down 1.98% — the steepest decline among the tracked group. ZEC benefited from buying interest in privacy-focused assets; OKB faced selling pressure possibly tied to exchange-specific factors at OKX or short-term profit-taking. The mixed performance indicates selective capital rotation rather than broad-based buying, with coin-specific narratives still attracting localized flows.
Today’s watch: U.S. September CPI released at 21:30 KST could trigger sharp moves in risk assets.
