Spanning approximately 2 hectares and home to nearly 1,000 trees, this forest is a rare ecological gem in Central Vietnam. Anyone found harming the trees faces severe penalties and public criticism. A dedicated forest protection group, consisting of veterans and local security, regularly patrols the area to prevent illegal logging or damage. Despite the high demand for Loc Vung trees in the ornamental plant market—with some traders offering billions of VND for unique specimens—the villagers and local authorities have steadfastly refused to sell. Twice a year, the forest transforms as the trees burst into bloom, carpeting the ground in vibrant red flowers, creating a scene of ethereal beauty that continues to inspire locals and visitors alike.
