How Vietnamese A-List Stars Spent Their 2024 Lunar New Year

The 2024 Lunar New Year was a time of reflection, gratitude, and family for many of Vietnam's biggest stars. From quiet hometown visits to traditional temple runs, the celebrities shared their festive activities, highlighting the importance of health and family bonds over professional success.

'Brown-haired Nightingale' My Tam chose to spend her entire holiday in her hometown of Da Nang. Eschewing the usual travel plans, she focused on taking care of her parents and celebrating with her extended family. Her simple wish for the year was peace and more quality time with her loved ones. Similarly, singer Hoa Minzy traveled from Ho Chi Minh City back to Bac Ninh with her son. On the first day of Tet, she was seen taking her mother to a temple to pray for a peaceful and prosperous year ahead.

For some, the holiday was a celebration of resilience. Saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan shared his joy at being able to walk again after a period of using a wheelchair due to health issues. Although his daughter, An Tran, was busy with her studies in the US and couldn't join them, the family celebrated with renewed hope. Actress Duong Cam Lynh also returned to her family in Dong Nai, expressing a heartfelt wish for her father's health to improve as he has been quite weak lately. She hopes to maintain positive energy to provide for her children and perhaps purchase a new home in 2024.

Other stars like Khanh Thi and Phan Hien, and actor Quoc Truong, shared scenes of traditional celebrations. Quoc Truong noted that the blooming apricot blossoms in his Can Tho home were a sign of good luck for his upcoming charity projects. Even stars living abroad, such as Thu Phuong and Dung Taylor, kept the traditions alive by wearing Ao Dai and visiting relatives.
