Second Annual Dien Hong National Journalism Awards Celebrates Media Excellence

The second annual Dien Hong National Journalism Awards took place in Hanoi on January 5, 2024, celebrating outstanding journalistic contributions focused on the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils. The prestigious event was attended by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, along with senior Party and State leaders, highlighting the crucial role of the press in bridging government policies with the public.

Mr. Tran Thanh Man, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and Chairman of the Award Organizing Committee, revealed that this year's competition received an impressive 2,679 entries from 138 media organizations across Vietnam. The judging panel selected 79 exceptional works to receive awards, including 7 A-prizes, 14 B-prizes, 20 C-prizes, and 38 consolation prizes. The awards recognize the creative, high-quality, and impactful reporting that helps foster national solidarity and public trust in legislative bodies.

Among the honored recipients, VietNamNet was proudly awarded a C-prize for the outstanding work 'The diary that flew half a round of the Earth and the meeting of the US President at the National Assembly House' by journalist Tran Van Thuong. The ceremony concluded with the launch of the third Dien Hong Awards for 2025, encouraging journalists nationwide to continue their dedication to capturing the dynamic progress of Vietnam's legislative and democratic institutions.
