In the heart of Can Tho's O Mon district, a young woman named Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has turned her dream of a peaceful countryside life into a stunning reality. Her 1,500m2 garden, filled with vibrant flowers and organic vegetables, has recently become a viral sensation and a must-visit spot for tourists in the Mekong Delta. Ngan, 25, previously ran a successful clothing business but decided to dedicate her time to creating a 'fairytale' space inspired by her childhood memories of her grandmother’s home.

The centerpiece of the garden is a traditional Southern Vietnamese leaf house, meticulously decorated with antique furniture, ceramic teapots, and wooden benches. Surrounding the house are lush beds of sunflowers, roses, and morning glories, alongside trellises of gourds and pumpkins. Ngan spent months working from dawn until late at night, often doing the heavy lifting herself to ensure every detail matched her vision. During the recent Lunar New Year, the garden welcomed hundreds of visitors daily, many traveling from neighboring provinces like Ca Mau and Soc Trang to experience the serene atmosphere. Ngan’s project is more than just a garden; it’s a tribute to the rustic beauty of the Mekong Delta and a testament to the growing 'back to nature' trend among young Vietnamese entrepreneurs. Plans are already underway to expand the experience, including activities like vegetable harvesting and traditional pancake making. For anyone visiting Can Tho, Ngan's garden offers a perfect escape from the noise of the city.
