Vietnamese Swifties Cosplay Taylor Swift in Custom Ao Dai at The Eras Tour Singapore

Taylor Swift's historic 'The Eras Tour' stop in Singapore has ignited an unprecedented wave of excitement across Southeast Asia, drawing tens of thousands of dedicated fans from neighboring countries. Among them, Vietnamese Swifties made a spectacular impression at the National Stadium by blending their rich cultural heritage with highly creative, self-made concert fashion inspired by Taylor's iconic musical eras.

One of the most eye-catching fashion trends among the Vietnamese contingent was the traditional Ao Dai. Truc Ly, a 25-year-old fan from Ho Chi Minh City, along with her group of friends, turned heads by wearing loose, comfortable white Ao Dai custom-printed with the names of Taylor Swift's ten studio albums. To complete their look, they carried beautifully decorated Nón Lá (traditional conical hats) adorned with Taylor's photos and colorful LED lights. Another young fan, 21-year-old Gia Han, showcased a gorgeous pink silk Ao Dai paired with a traditional headpiece (mấn) and comfortable sneakers, drawing direct inspiration from the romantic aesthetics of the 'Lover' album.

Other fans took DIY fashion to a whole new level. Dinh Tien Hoang from Hanoi spent approximately three million VND preparing custom outfits for his six-day trip to Singapore. He designed a hilarious, detailed 3D burger costume inspired by Taylor's 'You Need To Calm Down' music video, and crafted a glowing LED dress for his younger sister. Meanwhile, fan Trung Hau opted for a vibrant pink cowboy aesthetic, complete with a hat decorated with shiny rhinestones and a snake motif representing the 'Reputation' era.

Acclaimed singer Phung Khanh Linh meticulously recreated Taylor's colorful pool scene outfit from the 'You Need To Calm Down' music video, while popular MC Thanh Thanh Huyen invested tens of millions of VND into a stunning, fringed silver dress, a blonde wig, and bold makeup to embody the pop superstar.
