The Rise of Beauty and Brains in Hanoi Universities

Hanoi's top universities are increasingly known for producing students who are as talented as they are beautiful. The recent wave of university pageants has highlighted several outstanding individuals who balance academic excellence with grace. Trinh Huyen Mai, a 19-year-old marketing student in a joint program between Foreign Trade University (FTU) and the University of Northampton (UK), recently won 'Miss University Vietnam 2023.' Standing 1.7m tall, she is an active member of the MC and Fashion club and maintains a rigorous fitness routine.

Her peer at FTU, Nguyen Minh Anh, was crowned 'Beauty & Charm 2023.' At 1.79m, she has already walked the runways of Vietnam International Fashion Week but remains focused on her studies and her passion for choir singing. Over at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), Doan Thi Xuân Linh won 'Miss DAV 2023' and the 'Intellectual Beauty' award. Fluent in English and Chinese (HSK 5), she was admitted directly to the academy based on her stellar high school record. Finally, Hoang Thanh Trang represented the National Economics University (NEU) as 'NEU Glamour 2023.' A law student and fan of Miss Do Thi Ha, Trang exemplifies the modern Vietnamese student: ambitious, educated, and socially active. These young women are redefining beauty standards by proving that intellectual pursuit and personal style go hand in hand.
